Our body can’t tell the difference if something is real or imagined.

Read that again.

Our thoughts (conscious and unconscious) have a huge impact on how we feel in our bodies.

How we feel in our bodies has a direct affect on the thoughts we have in our heads.

It is a cycle!

Part of the exploration that we do together in a Somatic Coaching container is building awareness about your thoughts and building awareness about your body and then getting curious about the impact both have on how you’re showing up in your life.

Most of us are VERY aware of how much time we spend thinking and are less aware of what our body is communicating.

I certainly ignored my body for the first 30 years of my life! It wasn’t until things were falling apart and I was being diagnosed left and right with chronic illnesses, that I actually started to pay attention and honor its messages.

The more we ignore and override what our body needs, the more our system breaks down.

This breakdown can look like:

👉🏼physical illness

👉🏼frequently hurting ourselves.

👉🏼sleep disturbances

👉🏼digestive issues

👉🏼reactive emotions

👉🏼shutdown emotions

👉🏼lack of motivation

👉🏼inability to slow down and stop

👉🏼struggling with setting boundaries

👉🏼constantly feeling guilt or shame

👉🏼feeling stuck in a job or relationship that doesn’t bring us joy

👉🏼dissociation

The beauty of the intelligence of the body and brain is that we are not stuck in any one way. We have the incredible ability to shift, change, heal and expand.

Sometimes we need support on our path as we make changes or navigate transitions, step out in an expanded way, process the unexpected, manage stress, overwhelm, and negative thinking and self-doubts, illness, and/or chronic pain.

Somatic Coaching with me is a supportive, non-judgemental space for you to start to look at your patterning and make some shifts for long lasting changes.
