Each month in 2025, I’ve pulled a card to offer a soul-centered invitation—a way for us to root deeper into our bodies, our inner knowing, and our connection to the divine within and around us.
What can we prioritize and focus on to access and amplify our vibrancy and our radiance, so that our divinity may shine through in all that we do and BE?
This practice has been such a powerful anchor for me this year.
To round out this year-long cycle, the invitation for December is: Alchemize.
This is such a profound and timely message for the season we’re entering.
December ushers us toward the longest night of the year.
The darkness deepens.
The air grows still.
The natural world invites us inward, into reflection, truth-telling, release, and renewal.
As we approach the Solstice, a powerful threshold between endings and beginnings, the energy of alchemy is especially potent.
This month asks us to get honest with ourselves, to look at what has unfolded, and to name what is working… and what is not. acknowledge the patterns, choices, and habits that have served us and the ones that need to be transmuted as we cross the boundary into a new cycle.
Alchemize is an invitation to shift the raw material of our lived experience into something deeper, more true, more aligned.
It asks:
What wants to be transformed?
What is ready to be composted?
What parts of you are asking to be turned into medicine instead of weight?
What is yearning to become something else as the calendar year closes?
At its core, alchemy is the art of inner transformation.
It is the process of taking our lived experiences — the light, the shadow, the grief, the tenderness, the exhaustion, the hope — and allowing them to reshape us into something more whole.
This time of year is challenging for many. The holidays are not always joyful. December can bring up tenderness, grief, longing and old wounds.
You may be grieving someone who is no longer here.
You may be sitting with the ache of a parent who could not give you what you needed.
You may be navigating family dynamics that activate old patterns.
Or holding loneliness, disappointment, or the quiet weight of unmet expectations.
This time of year can illuminate paradox: love and loss, connection and rupture, warmth and absence.
Holding the both/and of paradox watching it all turn into something new is the alchemical process.
This card reminds us that we are the alchemists of our own lives. That we have choice in how we experience what is unfolding.
When emotions, pain, or challenge are ignored, stored, or silenced, they begin to calcify in our systems.
They stack and store in our tissues, showing up as more pain, discomfort, confusion, stuckness, apathy, helplessness, etc.
When these same experiences are given space, when they are truly acknowledged, witnessed, felt, grieved, expressed, they actually begin to shift.
They become insight.
They become creativity.
They become art.
They become fuel for becoming.
We find the medicine inside the wound only when we give it space to speak and be felt.
We have the capacity to turn heaviness into wisdom, pain into expression, contraction into clarity, endings into openings.
In the darkness, this month asks us to be brave enough to face what’s true and to work with it, not against it.
As we stand at the threshold of a new year, December offers us the gift of intentional transformation.
Take some space this month to sit with yourself and BE with what is here. Through movement, writing, ritual, sound, tears, creativity, breath, or simple honesty, stay with what is true.
You might explore:
How do I want to feel as I enter the next cycle?
Who am I becoming?
What emotional residue am I carrying from this year?
What patterns are asking to be ended, or alchemized into something new?
Where has life felt heavy, and what is the truth inside that heaviness?
What grief, anger, or disappointment wants to be acknowledged so it can move?
What creative expression feels like it wants to emerge from what I’ve lived through?
What do I want to carry into the new year — and what must be left behind?
May December be a month of profound inner alchemy.
May you honor the darkness not as something to escape, but as a sacred space for transformation.
May you enter the new year clearer, lighter, and more aligned with the truth of who you are becoming.
